Praise God! We are planning to gather for worship outside in the church parking lot on beginning Sunday June 7th at 9:30am! Why are we meeting outside? We are wanting to allow the most amount of people to attend, even if they are immunocompromised. Several from our Calvary Derby Hill family commented that they would not be able to come if we meet inside, so we will meet outside taking in one of the best views in town. Here are some things to remember:
To start, there will be no Sunday school or Calvary Institute classes.
There will be no child-care during the morning gathering.
Please bring your own lawn chairs if you are able. If not, we will have metal folding chairs available.
Bring all that you might need for sitting outside for 1 hour (i.e. hat, sunglasses, sun umbrella, sunscreen, water, etc.)
We will sit in family groups at least 6 feet apart.
Masks can be worn at your desecration.
For the Lord’s supper we will be using prefilled/packaged juice and wafer cups.
Two individuals will take up the offering and serve the Lord’s supper. No plates will be passed.
We will ask everyone to honor social distancing during our meeting time.
Parents, please bring coloring books, quiet activities for you children as needed.
We will ask parents to keep their children with them at all times. Normally, we love the children hanging out and enjoying one another as parents talk. However, we will not be able to start there once we reconvene but hope to move back there in the near future.
We will still try to record and upload the service that day to be viewed at home if you are still unable to attend.
Bathrooms will be available.
We will not be serving snacks and coffee, but feel free to bring your own!
I don't know about you, but I am so excited to be able to gather again and worship our King Jesus! We will seek to continue to honor and love one another during this time and try new things in order for us to gather. We know that some of you will not yet feel comfortable attending which we understand. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
